Long term care is expensive and the Veterans Administration (VA) has programs to help low-income veterans and their spouses pay for long term care. Never the less, not all veterans can qualify for this valuable pension benefit since qualifying individuals must have less than $80,000 in assets and their income must meet strict eligibility requirements.
